I knew exactly what I wanted when I talk about Donnie Darko and the upcoming movie Cinematical Movie Club. Anomaly is the first time film, the super strange film that found the worship of the cult, who worked when all the movies that followed did not. At all. In retrospect, I always wondered what made Donnie Darko which was converted. If it was a fluke some wild, if Richard Kelly undermined all traces of editorial perfect mojo with his first venture, if the movies that came later were judged very harshly by the fame of the first exit, or if Donnie was the only film that started it all in an acceptable manner.

The reality, of course, is probably a combination of them all ...
